We are very excited to be fully open again and look forward to seeing you in our little studio (hours can be found to the right of this page). As our space is very small we do ask that we have two people (or one bubble) in the shop at the same time. Please maintain social distancing and wear masks in the shop (unless of course you have a medical reason not to do do) and use the hand sanitiser provided.
Atlantic Glass Studio is an exciting workshop and studio situated alongside the edge of the canal at Bude in Cornwall, with views out across Summerleaze Beach to the Atlantic. Click here for how to find us and more information about our fabulous location, and here for how to buy from us.
We have recently had a full refurb of the studio, it looks wonderful, bright and colourful and we look forward to seeing you if you are in Bude, do come and say hello. You can find our opening hours and our rota on the right hand side of this page. We take all major debit and credit cards.
The studio is a collaboration of 5 local artists specialising in working in glass, pearls, silver and other metals and materials.
We produce beautiful pieces of art and jewellery, with the ‘hot’ work, ie use of kilns or torches, happening in our home studios; we do carry out preparatory and design work and finishing of pieces in Atlantic Glass Studio. We take it in turns to be in the studio so if you visit us you can often watch one of us at work.
Our work is diverse and incorporates different glass working techniques. We draw our inspiration from our beautiful coast and countryside that surrounds us and the wild ocean on our doorstep.
The five artists are: Lesley Ann, Jane, Marie and Lotti, and we have Sarah joining us in June. Lesley Ann, Jane and Marie use kilns to melt their glass and make stunning pictures, hangings, bowls, dishes, coasters, light catchers and jewellery; Lotti uses a propane and oxygen mix torch to melt her glass and a kiln to cool it making jewellery and light (or blind) pulls. We are very excited to announce a new member joining the group from 1st June. Sarah creates beautiful pieces of artwork and jewellery using sea glass and shells found on local Cornish beaches.
Each name has a link to their website or social media, we will shortly be adding another page with a little information on each artist and a collage of their work.
